This past weekend, I packed my bags and headed to my hometown of Memphis, Tennessee. It was my first time visiting since Christmas, so I was plenty excited to see all my family and friends and be back in the good ole south.
Let's summarize my trip with an annoying amount of photos, shall we:
- This is what a 2.5 day road trip looks like for me: Presents for my niece, a fully packed suitcase, my old but trustyVera Bradley bag filled only with shoes, and a toiletry bag.
- This is what Paisley looks like an hour into the car ride. Propped up on the armrest, looking onward and sticking out her tounge to the camera. What a ham!
- Speaking of Paisley. This is Paisley negative 2 minutes into the roadtrip (sticking out her tounge again) She looks happy.
- And this is Paisley about 6.5 hours into the roadtrip. Can you see the difference? She looks pissed.
I arrived at my mom's Friday afternoon. We hung out, went shopping, ate dinner and spent time together.
- I know it doesnt look that exciting, but I love my mom's homemade dumplings. So delicious.
- And everytime I go home I stuff myself with kimchi. Have you ever tried it? I grew up eating it so I was hooked at an early age.
Saturday, my family (and alot of others) ventured to the park to celebrate my niece Madelyn's 4th birthday.
- Madelyn's birthday sign.
- Swinging away!
- The birthday girl in action. Isnt she beautiful!!!
(More pictures to come on a later post since they are mostly on my sisters camera.
ELIZABETH...if you are reading this, upload your pictures please!)
After the party, I met up with my BFF Stephanie for some pool time, and then we went downtown for our friend Andrews birthday.

- VIP Table Sign for Andrew
- Myself with the birthday boy at Silly Goose
- Me & my boo, Stephanie
- Shots of Blueberry Vodka (I drank about 10% of mine and handed it over! Ick!)
- More Shots! Coffee Tequila (actually pretty good in small doses!)
- Stephanie and Graw being "crute"
- Champagne! Gotta love gifts that you can share! Thanks Steph!
- Happy Birthday to Andrew!!
Saturday morning, I woke up and headed straight to Stephanie's for more fun in the sun. Me, Stephanie, Jen, Lauren, and Kimberly all had such a fabulous time hanging out by the pool and laughing our asses off for atleast a good five hours straight.
- Love these hilarious ladies. ---Please excuse my pool hair/face. :)
- The relaxing pool. Mmmmmm. So inviting.
After the pool party, I headed back to my moms to have dinner with her, my sister and her family. Played a little hide and seek with Madelyn (i won), and called it a night/weekend.
Successful trip home.
See you Memphians again in October! :)
